The results
The results will be published in scientific journals, will be presented in conferences, will be captured on GIS maps and will be used to produce guides for crop and livestock farmers recommending good practices for dealing with worsening of crop and livestock stress.
Work Packages (Wps)
Wp1
Project Management
Coordination and quality management of the project, communication and meetings of the project team, communication of the Project’s Principal Investigator with the Host Institution, the Cooperating Organizations and the Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation, reporting, solution of any problems that may arise during the implementation of the project.
Wp2
Dissemination and Communication
Development of dissemination plan, development of website, short video to advertise the project, communication accounts and logo, publications and participation in conferences, organization of final dissemination event.
Wp3
Application of the high resolution regional climate WRF model
Set up and application of the model.
Wp4
Calculation of crops and livestock stress indices
Calculation and assessment of water stress indices for wheat and olive and thermal stress indices for cows and sheep.
Wp5
Mapping and adaptation measures
Development of GIS maps to present WP4 results, publication of a white paper proposing adaptation measures and good practices for crop and animal farmers related to the impacts of climate change on the cultivation / breeding of the selected crops / animals.
